Description: This is our spring horn recital with guest Bernhard Scully who was a horn performer with Canadian Brass and is now the first horn of the St Paul Chamber orchestra in St Paul MN. We will have a master class with Mr Scully at noon and a large group rehearsal at 1:15 . A concert of class A horn soloists and Fox Valley Horns will start at 2:15 PM. The event will be the downtown IMAX theater called the Big Picture. No admission charge for the event and horn players from Green Bay to Milwaukee will be joining us. Directions to IMAX are college ave past the City Center Plaza, turn left- go one block turn right andthe IMAX is right there. 214 East Washington .

This is absolutely the highest honor the Fox Valley Horn Choir can achieve as we have been asked to perform at the next International Horn Society convention in June 2009.  The details will have to be worked out yet, but this is the closest to Wisconsin the convention will probably be in the next 25 years or more.  Our highlight selection will be “Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves” again.  Other selections will be decided over the next months.  Pass the word to any and all serious hornists from the valley.  Music will be available from Don Krause after the Horns A Plenty performance in December.

Yup, we’ve changed formats again. Why you ask? There’s a couple of reasons, the biggest being my dissatisfaction with Joomla and its convoluted interface. Another being that it wouldn’t email me when submissions were made. So, I’ve decided to go with a system that I know and have more control over.
